Cliff Warren - Executive Chairman

Cliff Warren articled with Ernst & Young in Johannesburg, he has been a Director and partner to a number of private client asset management companies, gaining extensive experience in local and international markets since 1980. Cliff is currently Chairman of the Skybound Group and was both Founder and Managing Director of Blue Ink Investments (Pty) Ltd who were the first South African company to establish one of the largest fund of Hedge Funds in South Africa. He has in the past served on the fund managers Legal & Regulatory Affairs sub Committee and has been a member of the International Tax Planning Association for many years. He also served on the SAICA (South African Institute for Chartered Accountants) audit interest group for Fund Managers.
He is now primarily involved in the development of Skybound’s global business initiatives, establishing a number of strategic alliances and mapping the direction of the business and the Group.

Theodore joined Skybound Capital in 2011 and acts as International Chief Investment Officer. With a background in academia in China, Theodore started his investment management career at HSBC Private Bank, where he was mostly involved in manager selection and worked in London, New York, Geneva and Hong Kong. He also managed mixed asset portfolios at a family office. Theodore holds both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Economics. He is a CFA charter holder and a CAIA charter holder.

Conrad has a Business Science Finance honours degree, majoring in Economics and Finance, from the University of Cape Town, graduating in 1991. Conrad also completed his Investment Management Certificate in the UK and has been a member of the UK SIP (UK Society of Investment Professionals) since 2005. He has over 17 years of relevant investment and business experience in South Africa and abroad. Prior to joining Skybound Capital in March 2010, Conrad was a Director of Blue Ink Investments and was a member of their Investment Committee for more than 10 years. Conrad’s previous experience involved the selection of global fund managers and portfolio management. He is currently a Director of Skybound Capital, a member of their Investment Committee and is actively involved in business development.

Lee Dalley - Investment and Client Relations

Investment, Business and Client Relations

Lee Dalley has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and over 15 years of relevant experience. Prior to joining Skybound Capital, Lee was a Director of Blue Ink Investments and headed up the South African asset management division. He has had extensive experience in dealing with some of South Africa’s largest pension funds, managing their assets. He is a member of the Investment Committee and is actively involved in business development.

Nico Breed - Chief Financial Officer

Nico holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, majoring in Accounting Science and an Honours degree majoring in Applied Accounting and Taxation. Over the past 17 years he has held various financial positions and served as a Director on several boards. He joined Skybound Capital as the Group’s Financial Director in 2008.

Bridgitt Brink - Head of Corporate Affairs

Bridgitt holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She has gained international experience within both the financial services and management consulting sectors. Initially, working at PwC and then with KPMG, in London. Bridgitt joined Blue Ink Investments (Pty) Ltd in 2000 working directly with the Managing Director of the company. She currently deals with the legal, regulatory and compliance affairs of Skybound, as well as corporate structuring and various estate planning structures.

Matthew Pearce - Marketing and Communications


Matthew Pearce

Marketing, Communications and Business Development

Matt graduated from the University of Cape Town with a degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing. A freelance sports journalist while studying, his career took an unexpected turn when he was appointed the first editor of Golf Digest magazine and went on to take over the editorship of SA Sports Illustrated, before taking up marketing and senior management positions at Dimension Data, Ramsay Media and the Pam Golding Property Group. His passion for sport and media has resulted in being contracted by SuperSport as a leading commentator and presenter on rugby and golf, while his passion for business and networking has found a suitable home at Skybound Capital.
